And I feel fine, but I'm not so sure about sports
Are sports getting ruined these days? Many people seem to think so.
I LOVE SPORTS!, but im not going to lie, all this garbage is leading to my boredom.
Lets break this down, sport by sport
College Football: It seems like these days, every team is being investigated. The whole Bush scandal at USC angered me. Now, the entire SEC basically? seriously? I completely agree with Nick Saban. These kids need to stay away from agents. Any agent caught contacting an underclassmen should be suspended for a minimum 2 years. Florida, South Carolina, Alabama are all caught in this weird web. Also, Vanderbilt has lost their head coach. He resigned, which came as a shock to many, or at least to me.
Not to mention, all of this confusion about "super-conferences." They already have them, theyre called BCS schools. Speaking of the BCS, this needs to change. Top 16 teams in a playoff. Its not fair? Oh, well, it works for the 1AA, Div 2, and Div 3. Sell all games on tv. thats where the money should come from, not these big shot corporate sponsors. Because Chick-Fil-A wants advertisement, you have to screw Boise State, TCU, Utah, etc. Thats not right
NFL: First issue: safety. With the iminant expansion of the NFL season, safey becomes a HUGE issue. Fans however seem to be for this. I love football, and i want to see more and more of it. But im also a smart fan. I, like everyone, have favorite players. By expanding the regular season, theyre shortening the careers of some "workhorse" players.
Example: Stephen Jackson, who makes a living running people over. Now think, after 8 seasons, he wil have played the equivalency of 9 FULL seasons. Thats cutting his career short. And then what about playoff teams. Players like Jason Witten, Joseph Addai, and Lawrence Maroney who will more than likely be playing 18 and then another 1 to 4 games after that. Can these people really take that much abuse, and sustain a great career. Probably yes, but its lot less likely.
Next issue: LA does NOT need a team, SHUT UP
Third issue: Contracts. Why have only 3 first round draft picks signed one? Because, players are greedy. People like Tim Tebow, a mediocre quarterback at best, is holding out for more money. Im going to LOVE seeing some Defensive End rip him apart. Follw suit of Dez Bryant, who i think was the most naturally talented player in the draft. To secure his spot at camp, and on the team, he took a "modest" contract. Im sick of players, playing for money. Look at Brett Favre, he plays on pure emotion and love of football.
Last issue: Rodger Goodell says that the NFL is "all about the fans." If that is true, why the hell is there even the thought of no NFL next year. Get it done, or you will lose so much money.
NBA: What is this thing about a "big three?" Yes, you need "superstars," but last I knew, there were 5 guys. Kevin Garnet, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen. What about Perkins, Rondo, Davis, Scalabrine. that sounds like a big 7 to me. Now Dwayne Wade, Lebron james, and Chris Bosh. Well, what about the others in Miami. And now, my favorite, Chris Paul, Carmello Anthony, and Amare Stoudemire? Yeah, three great players. But, how cohesive are they? What kind of help are they getting without Harrington, or Lee. They have Toney Douglas. Who is he? This is, if it even happens.
MLB: Steroids. Need I say more?
NHL: 17 year contracts? Seriously?
Also, Sydney Crosby is a professional athlete. Dont ge pissed at him because he won the gold medal game against the US. How many people would be this pissed if Dirk Nowitski hit a game winning shot against US Basketball for Germany? Not even close. so, leave him alone.
If you have any more issues, i would love to hear them.
Feel free to comment. Thank you

Changes
Im looking for changes... in NO ways
Hello everybody
today im going to talk about sports. A good non controversial topic for my first post in a few months. Sorry!
my first topic. Baseball
According to Yahoo! Sports Florida Marlins manager Edwin Rodriguez is basically crying, because he is upset his team lost to the San Francisco Giants. The reason he is upset, isnt that they lost, but because of the opposing pitchers (Brian Wilson) shoes.
The already more than capable pitcher was accused of having shoes too flashy. The "creamcile" orange NIKEs were blamed for the players and even the managers incompetance. Not only is this claim ridiculous, but proven wrong. The GREAT Dan Uggla hit a ninth inning homerun with two outs.
Now, Im not a great journalist, nor even an amateur one. but i feel Yahoo! did a great job on this article. Look at the pictures and judge for yourself. Now, Florida, there are 162 games in a season, are you going to look at this loss as a reason you didnt make the playoffs. I dont think so. Look at the other 90.
Topic number 2
Terrible Owens.
We all know that he is Uber talented, and can be a great addition to any wide receiving corp. That is if he would SHUT UP. Seriously. He had problems with Jason Witten, and Patrick Crayton (2 fairly low key personalities) in Dallas. If he had problems with them, imagine when hes with Antonio Bryant (who threw a towel in Bill Parcells' face) and Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson (who had some flashy shoes of his own).
However, when he was in a really bad situation in Buffalo, he kept quiet. Which is odd, because he left San Francisco, when they were okay, he left the Eagles on their Super Bowl quest, and a very talent laden Dallas Cowboys, all on bad terms. Its mind boggling.
I dont think it will work out.
Topic 3
The Pac-10 or 12 or 16 or whatever they are
Adding Utah was Brilliant. I applaud that. But Colorado? Seriously? What happened to Boise State, who could very possibly be, the BEST TEAM IN THE COUNTRY! What about a very capable Fresno State? Why take Colorado? Were you trying to "rescue them?" they have just as bad of a shot to win in the PAC- Whatever, than the Big 12.
Are the Big Ten and the Big 12 going to change names now? And the Big Ten, Why take Nebraska? Central Michigan should have been the one to be brought up. And the Big 12. If you want to retain your dominance, grab the following teams: Boise State, Colorado State, Texas Christian University, Idaho, Southern Miss/Troy, and Southern Methodist University. Every conference needs a few University of Central Floridas, or Iowa States, or Vanderbilts. Grab those teams while theyre still Up-and-coming. Grab 6 teams, and become a 16 team super conference.
And for other teams, Buffalo, Memphis, Navy, etc, the ACC should come knocking soon, if theyre smart.
Leave some comments, feel free to argue, its what im doing this for.
thank you
